Gwiro shows
Born in Caracas, DJ Gwiro is a Dj, Graphic Designer and Producer who since the beginning of his artistic career in 1996 has been dedicated to research, rescue and dissemination of tropical rhythms and fusion with electronic music trends.
He has participated in the management of cultural institutions, commercial venues and festivals from the communicational, visual, programming and event production areas.
Disseminator of the musical culture of Latin America and the Caribbean from a contemporary and danceable perspective, he has been a member and founder of DJ groups Convibeats, CaribbeanDjs, El Horno SoundSystem (Mcbo), Fiesta BEMBÉ (percussion + electronic), Ritual Sónico, La Conga Beat, Looptrópico, among other projects.

His presentations highlight trends such as electrocaribe, tropicalbass, globalbass, afrohouse, latinhouse, dancehall, basshall, salsa, electrocumbia, fusions of electronic rhythms with music native to the tropical world. His career has taken him outside Venezuela doing Djsets in countries like Argentina and Perú, and now in the USA.
Dj Gwiro has made the public dance in the most known alternative venues in Caracas and other cities, and has shared stages with the best known Djs and selectors of the national scene. Also shared mix sets with international Dj’s like Claas Brieler (Germany), Dj Irfane (France), Geko Jones (USA), Stepwise (Argentina), Dj Karim (Algeria), Dj AnaSol (Argentina), elBarba Dub (Argentina), Dj Chakruna and Dj Malcom (Peru).
Consolidated as one of the main Djs, selectors, of the Venezuelan alternative electropical scene, he evolves his musical career as producer of the group Ritual Sónico (Afro-Venezuelan house), La Conga Beat (electropical salsa with Pibo Márquez), and is part of Looptrópico (Afro-Venezuelan sound archive).
