As a DJ from Baltimore, MD, Dan has co-produced a monthly event, FIRST FRIDAYS @ THE ATLANTIC as a member of a dj trio, Downtempo Sound System, from 1998-2003; has played locally with dj crew 2 Charming Crew (UKG, 2step, dubstep), as well as holding residencies (BLENDED at Sonar) and at XS. He has also played alongside some of the heavy hitters in the house music scene. He has shared the booth with Karizma, Doug Smith (95 North), Ian “45” Carey/Jason Brooks (Soul Providers), Charles Feelgood, Basement Boys, Michelle Shellers, Derrick Carter, Stacy Kidd, DJ Pope/DJ Oji (Poji Records), etc. He has a style all his own, playing a wide array of house sounds, from broken beat, SA house/soulful, deep house, jacking house, and garage (UK and US). He has had productions signed to MoreOrLess Records sampler, Skipper Tracks 2 (LESS018) in 2013, a track named BROKEN HEART, he collaborated with S.A.L.A.A.M., as well as multiple releases on MGrooves Music [RE: IMAGINE 001- STYLO – BODYMORE (Dan Gee’s Bmore Bump Rmx), PIERALDI – DARK CORNER (Dan Gee’s In the Corner Rmx), FUTURE SELF – WHERE U GOIN, AFROPINO – AROUND THE BONFIRE, sampler SO SO FRESH 1.0 (2 tracks)– AFROPINO – ELEMENTAL, and PINO’S GROOVE.
